From the Senate to the C-suite, women are underrepresented and underpaid - and the disparities only increase for women of color. As Heart & Hand strives to empower all young people to realize their potential, we cannot ignore the challenges our girls face in reaching their goals. With the support of the Women's Empowerment Circle, Heart & Hand can continue to address intersectional barriers to success - such as sexism, racism and socioeconomic status - and invest in the next generation of female leaders.
The Women's Empowerment Circle redefines what it means to support a nonprofit. Members will have the opportunity to engage meaningfully with students and one another, learn about Heart & Hand's work, and raise funds for selected projects.
• Across income levels, women are more likely to give, and give more, than their male counterparts.
• Women donate more to women's and girls' causes.
