For the past 10 years, Heart & Hand has worked alongside communities of color, nurturing the growth of children and accompanying families. At this critical moment in our country’s evolution, we must move from ally to accomplice to support and empower our students and their families on the path toward racial justice. We know that our conversations and learning must continue, and that our actions will be louder than anything we have to say.
Action Area #1: Continuing to increase the diversity of our Board of Directors, Community Professionals Board and donors in alignment with our strategic plan goals.
Action Area #2: Designing new programming for young people and families to address the trauma our community is currently experiencing.
Action Area #3: Codifying more intentional practices to elevate the voices of our young people and families.
Action Area #4: Formalizing our Anti-Racism work through creating committees that will ensure our momentum continues.
Action Area #5: Engaging with our community in new ways to ensure their voices are present in decision making spaces.
