The Heart & Hand Center runs high quality afterschool and summer programs for 3rd-12th grade youth in and around Northeast Denver's Five Points Community. We utilize a whole child approach to comprehensively meet our students' needs.
Without the Heart & Hand Center, many children would not have access to a safe and productive environment after school. Statistics show that the peak hours for drug and alcohol use, gang participation, smoking, and sexual activity are between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. due to a lack of supervision.

Career & College Readiness Program
Beginning in 9th grade, emerging leaders receive one-on-one support and monthly workshops in career success and college access. High school students can also attend daily afterschool programming as leaders at the middle and elementary school sites. Heart & Hand continues to support students for two years after high school graduation to ensure they realize their postsecondary goals.
Summer
Programming
Typically, Heart & Hand runs eight weeks of full day summer program inclusive of academic time, enrichment activities such as swimming and dance, and field trips. Our summer program is geared to combat summer learning loss.
In 2020, Heart & Hand will be providing six weeks of hybrid programming inclusive of virtual lessons and in-person days at a park or other outdoor location. Additional information can be found on our homepage.
