Off-Site Art Program
The Heart & Hand Center’s Off-Site Art Program provides opportunities for creative expression to Denver area youth. By collaborating with two homeless shelters, Heart & Hand’s weekly art programs reach approximately 35 children between the ages of 4 and 14.
Art has been proven to help with non-verbal and verbal expression and to provide a healing outlet for children coping with challenging or traumatic life situations. Art mentoring sessions give children a chance to work through their feelings and connect with Heart & Hand volunteers.
